My Journey
Every journey begins with a dream, and mine began in the Philippines with a simple desire—to become a teacher who could make a meaningful difference in the lives of children.
Growing up, I learned the importance of perseverance, faith, compassion, and education. Those values became the foundation of my life and guided me toward a career dedicated to serving others. As an educator, I discovered that teaching is more than delivering lessons; it is about building relationships, recognizing potential, and believing in every child, especially those who need someone to believe in them the most.
When I moved to the United States, I embraced the opportunity to continue my calling in a new country and a new educational system. The transition brought challenges, growth, and invaluable experiences that strengthened my passion for Special Education. Working with students from diverse backgrounds has taught me that every learner has unique strengths, every family has a story, and every classroom is an opportunity to create lasting change.
Along this journey, I also discovered a love for writing. My books were born from real experiences, heartfelt moments, and the lessons I’ve learned from my students, families, and fellow educators. Through stories, I hope to encourage resilience, celebrate inclusion, and remind readers that kindness, hope, and perseverance can transform lives.
Leading Beside is the culmination of that journey. It reflects my commitment to walking alongside teachers, supporting families, advocating for inclusive education, and inspiring children to believe in themselves and their dreams.
Today, my mission remains the same as when I first entered a classroom: to lead with heart, teach with purpose, and inspire one life at a time.
